Hi. My name’s Stephanie. As you’ve probably guessed from my blog title, I am both a horse lover and a Christian. Those are probably the two most important things about me. Both topics will come up quite a bit on here, so if you’re not interested in reading about that, you may want to look elsewhere. Also, as this has more or less turned into a photography blog, if you don’t feel like scrolling through lots and lots of horsey pictures, you definitely should look elsewhere.
I am also a big sister, singer, musician, artist, aspiring photographer, bookworm, expert lasagna maker, “adopted” aunt, writer, and mad scientist (just kidding – sort of).
Some of my favorite things are: dark chocolate, Italian food, good clean comedy, good music, ice cream, trail rides, sci-fi (specifically, Doctor Who, Stargate SG-1, Stargate: Atlantis, Firefly, and the MCU), crime dramas, cats, dogs, teddy bears, puzzles, good movies and hugs.
I have a rather sarcastic sense of humor and a penchant for bad puns. Also, anything you say around me may end up in my (in)famous quote book. You’ve been warned.
I am both French and a Southern gal. That may explain why people are never quite sure what to make of me.
I think that pretty much covers the basics. You want to know more? Just ask.
Thank you for your heartfelt comments.
Over the years, I have been lucky enough to work with Andalusians in Spain, Alter Reals in Portugal, and Hanoverians in Germany.
My father owned an “Off the track” English Thoroughbred. I was sent
to BHS riding schools at a young age. So horses are in my blood.
Civilization as we know it would have been impossible without them.
Best wishes,
Rohan,
That’s awesome. I actually started riding rather late (I took a few months’ worth of lessons when I was 13, then stopped to focus on soccer before starting back up again at 17), but I’ve always been fascinated by horses. I love all the gorgeous purebreds, but oddly enough most of my favorites have been mixed breeds (usually of unknown parentage). Go figure. 🙂
And I quite agree. Horses have been and continue to be invaluable to us, in so many ways. 🙂
Absolutely love your horse pictures. I’ve been looking for other equestrians online for awhile now so it’s great to have found your blog!
Thanks! Always happy to “meet” a fellow equestrian; hope you stick around. 🙂
Id love to know how you make your lasagne, I do spaghetti bolognaise and chicken and ham tagliatelle but I’d like to add it to my trials 🙂
It might be easier to show you, but if you can send me a message on Facebook I can send you my recipe.
